Write an essay of 1,000-1,250 words in which you provide your analysis of the message of the prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah through historical, literary, and theological contexts. Explain what the prophets said about the following:

The sins of the nations of Judah and Israel, and God’s actions against these sins.

God’s future plans for these nations as explained from the perspective of Isaiah and Jeremiah’s day.

Utilizing the biblical works of Isaiah and Jeremiah, explain the applicability of the message for today’s Christians.

Use passages from the books of Isaiah and Jeremiah, textbook, and two to four other scholarly sources from the GCU Library as sources for your essay. The sources must be used in a significant way. Also note that Wikipedia, generic dictionaries, and generic encyclopedias are not scholarly sources.
