Predatory Nursing Journals:

You have done an amazing job reviewing articles for your papers. However, some scholarly resources/research articles are not all quality work. These are often seen online, as a “predatory journal”. 

·         Oermann, M., Conklin, J. L., Nicoll, L., Chinn, P., Ashton, K., Edie, A., Budinger, S. C., (2016). Study of predatory open access nursing journals (Links to an external site.). Journal of Nursing Scholarship, 48(6), 624-632. 

It is about predatory journals that are using “not so good research” just to get publications. So read though, and think about if your articles fall into any of these sites.

o    Describe and evaluate the differences between evidence based practice and research.

o    Describe the importance and application of health care information, data mining, and importance to application in patient care outcomes

o    Discuss how data mining and interpretation influences case management and utilization
